The 15th AO ORL-HNS Congress also offers various social events, such as a Welcome Reception, Parkrun, Gala Dinner and a Women in Otolaryngology Lunch.

Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception will take place at the Queensland Art Gallery.

How to attend: This event is included in a full registration ticket

Parkrun

If you’re in the mood for a morning run, join us on Saturday morning for the South Bank Parkrun at the Riverside Green! 

The 5km course will head along the Goodwill Bridge, through the Brisbane Botanical Gardens and return to the Riverside Green in South Bank before the start of the Congress day 2.

How to register your interest: During your registration process for the 15th AO ORL-HNS Congress, there will be an option to register for the Parkrun and to buy a commemorative t-shirt. Ensure your desired options are selected before proceeding. Attendees that have registered their interest for the Parkrun will be notified before the Congress to complete their Parkrun online registration.

Gala Dinner

Located in the heart of the convention centre, the Plaza ballroom will become host to the Gala Dinner for the Congress. Be sure to join us as we wrap up the congress with an evening of food, drinks, entertainment and (fingers crossed) – dancing!

How to attend: While registering your attendance for the 15th AO ORL-HNS Congress, there is an option to purchase a Gala Dinner ticket. This event is additional to a full registration ticket price. 

Women in Otolaryngology Lunch

Join us for a casual afternoon of delicious food and social networking along the Brisbane River. Transfers will be provided at the conclusion of the closing ceremony to the location.

How to attend: While registering your attendance for the 15th AO ORL-HNS Congress, there is an option to purchase a ticket. This event is additional to a full registration ticket price. 

Prof Sarah Wise

Emory University School of Medicine

Sarah K. Wise, MD, MSCR is Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the Emory Otolaryngology Residency Program Director, Rhinology Fellowship Director, and Director of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Wise completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, residency at Emory University and rhinology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Wise has served on the Board of Directors of the American Rhinologic Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She will become President of the American Rhinologic Society in September 2022, serving as the Society’s first female president. Her clinical interests include inflammatory rhinology, otolaryngic allergy, relationship of allergy and chronic rhinosinusitis, and cerebrospinal fluid leaks. Dr. Wise lectures nationally and internationally. Her most notable publication is the International Consensus Statement on Allergy and Rhinology: Allergic Rhinitis, where she served as first author/primary editor.
