Competition Terms & Conditions

  • Travel support up to the value of AUD2,500 (inc GST)
  • Accommodation up to x4 nights at a hotel in Brisbane, Australia

  • Go to https://www.orlhns23.com/register/ and follow the prompts to register
  • You must fully submit your registration, you will know you have fully submitted once you receive a confirmation letter

  • Registrations must be fully submitted between Tuesday 17th January, 0:01 AEST and Tuesday 24th January 2023, 23:59 AEST
  • Draw will be announced on Friday 27th January 2023 before 17:00AEST
  • The winner will have 14 days to accept the prize before the prize is re-drawn
  • The prize can only be used over the event dates of the AO ORL-HNS 2023 congress
  • Destination of travel and accommodation is to be Brisbane, Australia
  • If the winner cancel’s their registration at any time between Friday 27th January and Sunday the 12th March 2023, the winner will not receive the reimbursement of travel or be provided accommodation
  • If the winner does not attend the AO ORL-HNS 2023 congress they will not be provided the prize
  • If the registration remains unpaid by Wednesday 8th February 2023, the applicant will no longer be eligible for the prize and there will be a re-draw
  • Winners will be notified via the email address provided during the time of registration

Eligibility

  • All applicants must be a Health Care Professional in the field relevant to the congress
  • You must be a new registration, those already registered will not be entered
  • You must be of 18 years or older

  • Accommodation will be booked by the congress organisers at a hotel of the organisers choosing. The hotel will be positioned in close proximity to the congress centre.
  • Should the winner choose to stay less than x4 nights they will not be provided any reimbursement or cash back
  • Should the winner stay longer than x4 nights they will be required to pay for the additional nights
  • The winner can bring an accompanying person with them as the room will take x2 people (queen share)
  • Travel must be booked by the winner
  • The winner will be reimbursed the travel prize at the conclusion of the congress.
  • Reimbursement will be via cash or direct deposit. If reimbursement preference is direct deposit, the reimbursement may take 1 month following the congress.
  • Travel support is up to the value of AUD2,500. Should the cost of the flight be less than the value of AUD2,500 the winner will be reimbursed the total cost of the flight.

Prof Sarah Wise

Emory University School of Medicine

Sarah K. Wise, MD, MSCR is Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the Emory Otolaryngology Residency Program Director, Rhinology Fellowship Director, and Director of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Wise completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, residency at Emory University and rhinology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Wise has served on the Board of Directors of the American Rhinologic Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She will become President of the American Rhinologic Society in September 2022, serving as the Society’s first female president. Her clinical interests include inflammatory rhinology, otolaryngic allergy, relationship of allergy and chronic rhinosinusitis, and cerebrospinal fluid leaks. Dr. Wise lectures nationally and internationally. Her most notable publication is the International Consensus Statement on Allergy and Rhinology: Allergic Rhinitis, where she served as first author/primary editor.
