Dr Catherine Banks (MBChB, FRACS (OHNS)) is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and is a Paediatric and Adult Otolaryngologist, and Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. She works at Sydney Children’s Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick as an Ear Nose and Throat surgeon with subspeciality training in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery. Dr Banks Cystic fibrosis research was initiated following fellowship with Dr Bradford Woodworth, Professor of Otolaryngology and Senior Scientist, at the Gregory Fleming James Cystic Fibrosis Research Centre, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Following this fellowship, she was a Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Fellow at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School. She is a recipient of a NHMRC scholarship for her ongoing work in Cystic Fibrosis and serves on the Educational Committee for the American Rhinological Society for Skull Base and Orbital Surgery.
