Francis Hall has been performing sialoendoscopy since 2008. In late 2007 he attended a training course in sialoendoscopy at the 2nd international salivary gland congress in Pittsburgh and has been performing sialoendoscopy ever since. He was the first person in New Zealand to perform sialoendoscopy and presented his first two years of results at the New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery annual scientific meeting in 2010. His initial interest in sialoendoscopy occurred as being a head and neck surgeon he was frequently referred patients with inflammatory salivary conditions for excision of either the parotid gland or submandibular gland. Today he presents his experience and philosophy developed over 15 years of managing patients with inflammatory conditions of the salivary glands with sialoendoscopy.
