Dr Kapil Sikka has been trained in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery at prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. This is an internationally renowned one of best medical schools in India. He took faculty position and am currently Professor, and consultant surgeon, Otolaryngology and Head and Neck surgery. With over 130 publications and 250 national and international presentations, Dr Sikka has achieved considerable national and international repute in specialty, more specifically in cochlear implant otology and head and neck surgery.
Awarded by fellowships and scholarships, he has attained additional visitorship in Stanford Universty, USA and Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has been awarded Diplomate, National Board in ENT, Fellowship, American College of surgeons and membership, National academy of Medical Sciences, India. Innovations and teaching are his passions. He is currently working on reengineering a unique low cost device for detecting hearing loss in children. He has been a part of national task force for evaluating deafness prevalence in country, and has been part of dozen more internal and external projects as PI. He also regularly conducts workshops and training sessions for surgeons to provide them hands on cadaveric trainings. His head and neck workshops have been popular and widely attended by Indian and foreign surgeons. He have also taken increasingly more leadership roles in planning expansion of department and institute and work closely with concerned colleagues. He played key role in handling Mucormycosis epidemic and COVID pandemic at institute. He has been examiner at various reputed universities like AIIMS, New Delhi, University of Rajasthan, National board of Examinations and Tata Memorial Hospital
