Simon Carney is Professor of ENT Surgery at Finders University. He has authored over 100 full publications (the vast majority in Q1 journals, including the BMJ and JAMA), 11 book chapters and 2 surgical dissection manuals. He has received over $4M in research funding and his work has over 3500 citations with an h-index of 30. His main clinical and research interests are in sinus surgery and surgery for sleep apnoea.
He is a Past-President of the ANZ Rhinologic Society, Vice-Chairman and Director of the not-for-profit Asia-Pacific Otolaryngology Surgical Training and former Chair of the Education & Training sub-committee of the International Symposium on Inflammation and Allergy in the Nose. He is Associate Editor of The American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy and on the Editorial Board of Clinical Otolaryngology and Rhinology. He sits on several RACS and Australian Federal advisory committees.
